10 years ago I watched a Ted Talk by Allen Savory.  In it he described how 2/3 of the worlds grass lands were turning to desert.  He said the time for action was now and was passionate about how Holistic Management was the answer.​

This was a turning point in my families life, within a year we had left our six figure income in the city to start a small ranch in Eastern Oregon.

We raised and sold grass-fed beef, pastured poultry and our two girls living off the land, surrounded by livestock. We lived this lifestyle for 6 years.

Over the past 4 years we haven't been very involved in this movement, besides buying beef from local ranches.
